Put Satan in his place!

“For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of GOD lives forever”-1 John 2:16

Pride is the absolute worst sin to have in our hearts. Pride hides other sins too, and if these are not dealt with, it cannot only hinder the Christian’s walk with CHRIST, but it can absolutely destroy us. Pride will never allow us to fulfill our destiny in who we are in CHRIST.

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the garden of GOD; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald,
topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of GOD; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of GOD, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to “ASHES” on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.- Ezekiel 28:11-19

Reading chapter 11 from Ezekiel is a clear description of Lucifer. Satan was ranked at one time as being the highest angel in authority that GOD had. At one time GOD loved him deeply. Look at the description! Lucifer was the most beautiful angel that GOD had, and he was filled with so much wisdom. Satan allowed pride though to hinder his relationship with GOD, and it ultimately was the destruction of him. Satan was so cunning that he was able to take a third of Heaven down with him (see Revelation 12:7.) That’s some very scary stuff when you really think about it!  It’s scary because Satan has not changed since, and he’s still up to his same old tricks, and all who dwell on earth is an open target for that old serpent the devil. BTW, he wants to drag us away too! His demons have been loosed here and they’ve been here ever since they were kicked out of Heaven.(Revelation 12:7)

Anything that we’re not fully surrendering to GOD from anything of the lust’s of the flesh, we are responsible for! GOD is so Holy that HE cannot be in the presence of ANY SIN! That’s why HE sent HIS son JESUS here to die for us, for our sins. Believe it or not, when we willfully sin against GOD, we are re-crucifying CHRIST all over again.

“You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.”-Ezekiel 28:15

Whatever you’re struggling with, for who this devotional today applies to, and that is for today, tomorrow, and everyday, yield yourself back to GOD. Come to CHRIST with all of your strongholds, or anything that you’re struggling with. Allow JESUS to have it, and rid yourself of anything that has a strong hold on you.

The Bible says that we are slaves to anything/anyone that we are allowing to have control over us, and this absolutely includes our flesh- (2 Peter 2:19). This is in fact who/what we are bowing down to serve. It doesn’t matter if you’re mouth is not saying this, because if your mouth is not matching up to how you’re living, and for how you’re walking with/without the LORD’S guidance, then you’ve allowed pride to cloud your better judgement, and you’re not in total freedom either. Without full freedom in CHRIST, never allows us to be able to fully experience what living life here abundantly looks like, which is how GOD intended for us to live from the very start.

If you’re not yielding yourself to HIS HOLY SPIRIT, then you’re only fooling yourself, and this puts this person in a very dangerous place. GOD and sin cannot co-exist together, not ever! That’s the truth, and there is no justifying it either!

“But HE gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“GOD opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
Submit yourselves, then, to GOD. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to GOD and he will come near to you”-James 4:6-8

Walk in the freedom that you have from CHRIST. GOD’s grace is extended to all that come to CHRIST. However, grace is NOT extended to a rebel. Put the devil in his place. Your soul depends on it.
